The Daily Shoot 109

The next Daily Shoot assignment I tackled was on Thursday 4 March (#ds109): “Striped patterns have a natural pattern that catches the eye. Find some stripes today and make a photo.”

The sun was shining brightly that day, still cold, and I wanted to go outside to take some final photos of the Old Vicarage since I would be leaving the next day. Wandering over to the side lawn, I saw the shadow stripes laid across the grass and decided to shoot that as my “stripes” photo:

This wasn’t exactly a new idea for me: two years ago, we were on the Long Walk in Windsor and I’d taken this photo, looking away from the Castle, down towards the statue of King George III:

I’d have to say this one is possibly a much better rendition of the idea than the one I took for the assignment.
